"The Owners and Management of The Glen Shopping Centre, wish to assure all members of the public that The Glen Shopping Centre structure is safe as per a detailed evaluation undertaken by Consulting Engineer Dr SF Van Zyl, Reg No. 750241.

The issue of the "Cracks", in the photographs of the "E-mail" doing the rounds is applicable to a movement joint and concrete joint standard in any concrete structure of this nature.

The Glen commenced a maintenance program in July 2009 as part of the major expansion and the props in the photographs of the "E-mail" will remain in over the builder's break, who will then return to complete this programme in the New Year".
